Tel Aviv and central Israel tours

The Center is where most visitors land and where the country feels most modern. Tel Aviv brings beaches, restaurants, markets and architecture, Jaffa adds a historic port, and the surrounding coast has Roman ruins, orchards and quiet seaside towns. It is also the easiest base for day trips to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea.

This page also shares an Israel itinerary of 7 days, since the Center is the natural starting point for a week in the country. Treat it as inspiration. Your final route will follow your own interests.

Highlights of the Center

01

Tel Aviv Jaffa day trip

Start in the old port of Jaffa, walk to the colorful Neve Tzedek neighborhood, then explore the Carmel Market and the Bauhaus buildings of the White City. End with sunset on the beach promenade.

02

Food and markets

Tel Aviv is one of the best places in the region to eat. Taste hummus in Jaffa, sample produce at Carmel Market, and book a table at a chef-led restaurant. We can plan a food tour day.

03

Caesarea and the coast

Visit the Roman theater and harbor of Caesarea, then relax on a nearby beach. It is an easy half-day on the way north and a favorite stop for history lovers.

04

Art, culture and nightlife

Gallery districts, street art, live music and rooftop bars give the city its energy. Whether you prefer a quiet evening or a late night, we match the Center to your taste.

Turning one week in Israel into 10 days

If you have ten days, an Israel itinerary of 10 days lets you add the Negev, a longer Galilee stay or extra time in Jerusalem. You can also slow down and spend a free day on the beach. We tell you honestly what to add and what to skip.

If you are a first-time visitor, we usually suggest keeping at least one flexible half-day. It gives you room for a recommendation, a rest, or weather changes.

Questions about a week in Israel

Is one week in Israel enough?

One week in Israel is enough for a strong first visit: Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and one northern or southern region. You will not see everything, but the pace can be comfortable if planned well.

Where should I stay: Tel Aviv or Jerusalem?

Many first-time visitors split their stay, spending a few nights in each. Tel Aviv is easy for beaches and food, Jerusalem for history. Distances are short, so we can also base you in one city.

Can I change the sample itinerary?

Of course. The sample is only a starting point. Tell us your interests, dates and group, and we will rebuild the days around you, swapping, adding or removing stops.
